This course validates that participants have the skills to manage the danger of accidental electrocution. It is primarily designed for experienced workers in the electrical industry. After successful completion of this course you will be competent to rescue and provide resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing due to low voltage electrical shock.
Students are required to have already held the below two units of competency and be confident and capable to successfully undertake their assessment without any prior training on the day of the assessment.
Students will be provided with some pre-course reading so that on the day it will be an “assessment only” pathway to obtain/re-certify these units of competency.
Students will be assessed against the two units of competency - HLTAID001 Provide cardio- pulmonary resuscitation and UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live Low-Voltage panel.
Theoretical assessment will be in the form of multiple choice and written short answer questions. Practical assessment will be in the form of scenario completion. You will be required to demonstrate CPR on a manikin on the floor.
Please note, if deemed Not Yet Competent by your trainer on the day of this “assessment only” course, you may be required to re-book and re-sit the full course again on another day.
