COMMUNITY SERVICES DURING COVID-19 - SUPPORT FOR OLDER QUEENSLANDERS DURING THE PANDEMIC.
You can receive services with confidence that St John Qld has in place all the necessary precautions and hygiene measures to minimise the risk to clients during this COVID-19 period.
These services are available in Brisbane North, Brisbane South, Toowoomba, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg and Townsville.
Providing transport to medical and health appointments, or other outings such as shopping or visiting family and friends.
A new service providing collection and delivery of pre-ordered and pre-paid essentials items such as medications (including for pets), groceries and household items from local food stores, grocers, butchers as well as local post offices.
- Personal Shopping Service
This brand new service aims to support people during isolation by providing personalised shopping from local food stores, grocers or butchers, other options considered.
These services are available Queensland wide.
This initiative provides regular, weekly phone calls made by caring volunteers offering confidential calls to provide positive, uplifting conversation.
Our volunteers are able to provide a daily check-in phone call. If the call is unanswered, St John Qld will initiate action to ensure the person is safe.
We are able to provide a fully monitored personal medical alarm with fall detection technology ensuring help can be summoned with the press of a button. This service is available Australia wide.
St John Qld is an approved NDIS and Commonwealth Home Support Programme provider. Supported by the Australian Government Department of Health.
